The latest building to be completed on the Paradise Circus/Centenary Way/Chamberlain Square development in the heart of Birmingham Business district. This building continues the building of Hi-end office space which has attracted prestigious clients to take up residence in this development – PWC, Mazars, DLA Piper, Goldman Sachs, Arup – to name a few.
Beyond the striking terracotta façade, the 10-storey development provides 189,000 square feet of Grade A offices alongside retail and leisure spaces. The unique aesthetic means few walk past without noticing and forming an opinion – the epitome of bold architecture.
Designed with sustainability at its core, 3CS is one of the UK’s most sustainable and amenity-rich commercial buildings. It targeted and secured BREEAM Outstanding and NABERS 5*ratings at design stage.
WB Simpson & Sons (Midlands) Ltd undertook the supply and installation of the floor and wall tiling to the 9nr floors of lift lobbies and w/cs, the feature reception area large format tiling (1000 x 1000) as well as the extensive changing rooms and shower facilities – over 1700m2 of floor tiling and 950m2 of wall tiling supplied by Solus Ceramics. Extensive background works were also undertaken utilising levelling compound, tile backer boards, anti-fracture membrane and tanking.
This is the fourth building on this prestigious development that WBS have undertaken extensive tiling works on – One & Two Chamberlain Square, One Centenary Way . We were involved in the early cost planning stages of this project for Sir Robert McAlpine having forged a terrific working relationship with them on the previously completed One Centenary Way project on this development.
