Three Snow Hill Birmingham
In the very heart of Birmingham’s fast developing Business district ‘Three Snow Hill’ stands out as an Ultra-Modern 17 storey office building offering 38000m2 of nett lettable area and including 25000m2 of Curtain walling and 21nr internal lifts. The Base Build and Cat ‘A’ fit out were completed by BAM Construction Midlands Ltd, a subsequent landlord fit-out to Changing rooms, showers and gym was then undertaken by ADT Workplace Ltd and, following a contract signed with BT for this building to become their Regional Hub, occupying 12 of the 17 floors and housing over 3000 employees, a major 2 phased CAT ‘B’ Fit Out was completed by Overbury plc.
WB Simpson Midlands worked on all three elements of the project which included:
Base Build and Cat A Fit Out: Working in Conjunction with Mosa Tiles, Solus Ceramics, Mapei UK and Schluter Systems, work for BAM Construction Midland Ltd included:

Over 4800m2 of Floor tiling supplied by Mosa in a combination of sizes of 1200 x 600, 900 x 450 and 900 x 900 from their Terra Maestricht and Terra Tones ranges. Laid over a combination of Underfloor heated screeds and Raised Access Flooring.

Over 1500m2 of Wall tiles supplied by Solus Ceramics

Feature walls to the Atrium Area supplied by Domus Tiles and Solus Ceramics installed onto and including an Independent Metal support system and using Raimondi’s Rai-Fix system

Core designs incorporating 127nr individual Superloo’s in 3nr separate core areas over 17nr floors with wall and floor tiles lining through, then interfacing with Back Painted Glass and architectural detailing that entailed only minute tolerances for the install.

A 1000m2 Atrium Area to providing a ‘London Quality Grade A’ Reception Area and Feature Staircase.

Changing rooms and showers incorporating over 260m2 Floor tiling and 250m2 of wall tiling supplied by Mosa from their Terra Maestricht range

The supply and install of 14nr Schluter ‘Kerdi Shower-LS’ trays with ‘Kerdi G3’ linear drain outlets and incorporating Mapei’s ‘Aquadefense’ waterproofing system.

Over 310m2 of Floor tiling to Reception Level Artisan Café area, tiles supplied by Mosa.

Over 160m2 of Floor Tiling to 7nr Café and Tea Points areas throughout the building using tiles supplied by Mosa and Solus Ceramics

Wall Tiling to 7nr Café areas throughout the building using tiles supplied by Grestec, Domus Tiles, Solus Ceramics and Bedrock.
Phase 2

Over 190m2 of Floor Tiling to 6nr separate ‘Relax and refuel’ spaces throughout the building using tiles supplied by Mosa and Solus Ceramics

Over 380m2 of Wall tiles to 10nr separate Tea Points using tiles supplied by Domus Tiles, Solus Ceramics, Bedrock and Grestec.
Tiling to each phase of the project was completed to the satisfaction of both contractor and client and hence the continued working relationship maintained throughout each phase of the development of this prestigious office development.
