HSBC HQ, Birmingham
HSBC HQ forms the first phase of new development Arena Central. The building is part of a £200 million investment in Birmingham by HSBC.
The 11 storey building is the first building to be constructed to LEED (Leadership in Environmental and Energy Design) in Birmingham and is one of the greenest buildings in the city. It is also the first to receive Gold Accreditation.
The main contractor was Galliford Try and W.B. Simpson and Sons Midlands are proud to have been a part of the team that delivered this fantastic building. So much so that we have submitted the project for the TTA awards.Our scope of works consisted of:
- Atrium and café area with under floor heating
- East and West toilet cores to 11 floors
- Lift lobbies to 11 floors
- Changing rooms and showers for gyms
- Extensive levelling and preparation works
We installed approximately 3500m2 of floor tiling and 750m2 of wall tiling supplied by Domus Tiles
W.B. Simpson and Sons Midlands are currently working with Galliford Try on the next two buildings at Arena Central which they have been awarded based on the success of the new HSBC HQ.
