W.B Simpson & Sons laid approximately 800m2 of tiles in this stylish restaurant owned by Leonid Shutov that is located on the third floor of The Leadenhall Building aka the ‘Cheesegrater’ in London. The SM Quartz tiles used were in colours white, navy, grey and stardust red. The polished surfaces of this stone are non-porous and stain-resistant, ideal for a restaurant setting.
The product used was one of the finalists of the 2020 SBID Product Design Awards. With the addition of eight miles of mirror-polished steel trim you can see why this beautiful stone was chosen.
This challenging but rewarding project was a highlight of 2019 and the skill and design is clearly evident in the photos.
